CFR: INFORMATION

Other than supporting the PINKDRIVE with both their Awareness & Early Detection efforts, and assisting where we can with Fundraising, our primary benevolent purpose at The Wellness Trail extends to Cancer Wellness Management and the Awareness thereof.

Our  Aim in Wellness Management is to cover Preventative measures, as well as, Remission Maintenance and Recovery.

Wellness is a substantial tool in improving the quality & longevity in ones life, and the World Health Organisation has expressly stated in their "Fact-File: 10 Facts on Cancer", updated in Jan 2013, that more than 30% of Cancers can be prevented mainly by not using tobacco, having a healthy diet, being physically active and moderating the use of alcohol. All of which fall into Wellness Management, and they have been quoted saying that Wellness Management can prevent up to 40% of Cancers or Cancer deaths.

With any Service entry that requires physical exertion we will attach Cancer Friendly Ratings, specifically any entry that falls under the label "FITNESS TRAINING & ACTIVITIES" and "MARATHONS & SPORTING EVENTS". 

Please note that many of the CFR's given are based on exertion levels of unfit persons to extremely fit persons, which forms the basis of our judgement. It is merely a guideline, and we strongly advise/ insist that people know what their physicians recommend based on their current health status and to question the specialist or person they consult with at each provision. We also recommend that one regularly ensures awareness  of whether a provision is suitable for them. 

(Regarding other Products and Services that do not fall into the above categories, we will do our best to advise where relevant, however, we again insist that one is always aware of what is suitable for their current health status.)

CFR LEVEL 1: Can be done whilst in/on treatment, BUT CONSULT A PHYSICIAN 1ST!

CFR LEVEL 2: Month 1-3 Post-Treatment 

CFR LEVEL 3: Month 4-6 

CFR LEVEL 4: Month 7-9

CFR LEVEL 5: Month 10-12

CFR LEVEL 6:  1 Year Post Treatment
