We believe that participating in heart racing activities that put your body and mind to the test are essential, mostly because they are fun and pull you right out of your comfort zone and give you a goal to work towards, but then we also believe that it is just as important to find inner peace and undo all the damage that the above may create, along with the damage your daily lifestyle may bring into your life.
So yes, we are looking at Yoga this month, but we wanted to find something a little different that may spurn you on to try something new, just somma because.
Our first one is totally fun, but incredibly unique and has evolved yoga.
Aerial Yoga is a fun, challenging workout routine combining aspects of Yoga, Pilates, Aerial Arts & Strength Training. It is designed to increase strength, mobility, balance and flexibility, and you will have an amazing time doing it...YOU REALLY WILL!!! It's a total mind and body workout for those who want to combine fitness and fun.
The class consists of floor work and aerial strengthening exercises, stretches and relaxation. The workout focuses around a low-lying soft fabric 'trapeze' (called a 'sling' or 'hammock'), which is suspended from the ceiling to hip height. Aerial Yoga makes use of the fabric sling to distribute the body weight between the floor and the sling, allowing a variety of strength building, balance awareness, flexibility and core strength moves....its so cool and totally worth the effort, we'd do this daily if we could...L-O-V-E IT!!!!
