PILATES IN MOTION - GLENWOOD, DURBAN

In FITNESS TRAINING & ACTIVITIES this month our prime focus is PILATES, it all starts with PILATES, at least it should!!! There are a few essentials to looking after your body, we believe, yoga, meditation, stretch, good eating, daily cardio, a good laugh, dancing as often as you can, AND PILATES!!!
These will get you through life, well into your most profound years, and beyond, with the best preservation life can provide, all these things will see you through, AND PILATES!!!

 Why we like PILATES in MOTION, is because they are a MOMENTUM Affiliated Gym, which makes rewards processes even better, if you are with Momentum, but irrespective, its means you can take them seriously, Momentum does.
Secondly, their class menu specifically includes Pensioners, as well as Sports Teams & Clubs. 

We also like the fact that they include other mediums in their timetable, we believe that too much of a good thing leads to both boredom and regression, so the fact that they include Taebo is awesome. Why TAEBO?
Its adds a medium to high impact cardiovascular workout to ones regime, plus its energetic and fun, and will leave you feeling revitalised, whereas Pilates is quite slow, and very controlled, and even though you will work really hard, its so controlled it doesn't allow for much fun, and sometimes that plus the energetic workout is as important. 

But they are also about to introduce something called BOOTY BARRE. , its something totally awesome, and again fun and energetic, that fuses techniques from Dance, Pilates & Yoga, and will totally tone, define and chisel your already perfect little booty and the rest of your body. 

Its the perfect combination of strength & flexibility, with an added element of cardiovascular utilizing the ballet barre. THIS WE LOVE!

But lets get back to why we really came here, PILATES and a really awesome lady who started Pilates in Motion, Ms Laura-May. Laura has been teaching Pilates for over 7 years and prides herself in training pensioners, sports men and women, Chiropractors, Doctors and also directs her abilities to the areas of Rehabilitation, as well as Pre & Post Natal Training. (So everyone, but she can focus on each area.)
She qualified with the New York Pilates Method and is bringing Booty Barre to South Africa's shores.

Why is Pilates in Motion a cut above the rest? The classes are small and intimate, and the environment is tranquil and happy. You will work hard, and smart, but you will also have fun and know that each time you come, you will experience something new.
