THE PUDDING SHOP

Thursdays Focus: MEDIA & GASTRONOMY, this month sees us having a closer look at some vegan and vegetarian restaurants that'l change your mind about healthy animal free food.

WE LOVE THIS.......a true and rare gem.

So the idea of Vegan & Vegetarian Food was awful, until the divine chef said, 'Before you wince, just look a the menu, and I was sold. I had the French-Toast, granted, I asked for the offered Bacon, but it was divine non-the-less, and I am dying to go back. LOVE IT!!!

Our “The Pudding Shop” was inspired by the "Lale Restaurant" in Istanbul, Turkey. The restaurant became popular in the 1960s as a meeting place for hippie travellers en route between Europe and India. By word of mouth it became know as “The Pudding Shop”.

The Pudding Shop has morphed into what it was originally intended to be a space with a quiet energy with organic textures, serving well thought out dishes with your Well being and your Health in mind. Our menu is mainly Vegetarian and Vegan - where we use only seasonal ingredients.

We are open  from Tuesday - Sunday 08:30 - 4:30.
We serve Breakfast, Lunch and light snacks throughout the day.

Those that don¹t know exactly what vegan is, far from being difficult and extreme, veganism is easy, straightforward and delicious. Being a vegan is definitely more of a lifestyle choice and a philosophy than a diet. Vegan simply excludes anything that is of animal origin. Plant-based diets either minimise or eliminate people's genetic propensity to developing chronic diseases, such as diabetes type 2, cardiovascular disease, and cancer thus optimising health and a clearer conscience while looking and feeling younger and rejuvenated. As many of the greats who have come before us Voltaire (French author), Leonardo da Vinci (Italian painter, architect and engineer),Sir Isaac Newton (English physicist and mathematician) and Vincent Van Gogh (Impressionist painter), who all followed a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle,
Albert Einstein (Scientist) said it best: "Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."

Eating your greens has never bean so tasty.
